Privacy Policy for Reelio

Reelio is a social media application provided by Code Bro Softwares Pvt Ltd ("Code Bro", "we", "us", or "our"). This Privacy Policy explains what information Reelio accesses or collects, why we use it, when it may be shared, how long it is retained, and the choices available to you.

1. Information we collect

• Account and profile information: name, username, email address, phone number (when provided), profile photo, biography, links, and authentication identifiers.
• User content: photos, videos, reels, stories, audio, captions, comments, likes, follows, reports, and other content you choose to create or upload.
• Communications: messages and support requests you send through Reelio. We use this information to deliver the communication and support safety features.
• Device and usage information: IP address, device type, operating system, app version, language, identifiers used for app functionality, diagnostics, crash information, and activity such as screens or features used.
• Camera, microphone, photos, videos, and files: accessed only when you use features such as capturing, editing, uploading, or sending media.
• Location: precise or approximate location only when you grant permission and use a location-based feature, such as adding a place to content.
• Notifications: a device notification token so we can deliver messages, account alerts, and activity notifications.
• Purchases and rewards: transaction status, purchased plan or package, and reward activity. Payment card details are processed by Google Play or the relevant payment provider and are not stored by Reelio.

2. How we use information

We use information to create and secure accounts; provide profiles, feeds, stories, search, messaging, uploads, notifications, rewards, subscriptions, and purchases; personalize and improve the service; prevent spam, fraud, abuse, and policy violations; moderate reported content; troubleshoot errors; respond to support requests; and comply with legal obligations.

3. Sharing and service providers

We do not sell personal or sensitive user data. Information may be shared with:

• other users when you intentionally publish content or make profile information visible;
• service providers that help us operate Reelio, such as hosting, cloud storage, authentication, notifications, analytics, crash reporting, moderation, advertising, and payment services;
• authorities or other parties when required by law, to protect users, investigate abuse, or enforce our terms; and
• a successor organization in a merger, acquisition, or transfer, subject to appropriate notice and safeguards.

4. Third-party services

Reelio may use services provided by Google, Firebase, Google Play, and other infrastructure or feature providers. These providers process information under their own privacy terms and our instructions where applicable. Links to external websites or social profiles are controlled by those third parties.

5. Advertising

If advertising is enabled, advertising providers may process advertising identifiers, device information, IP address, and limited interaction data to deliver, measure, and protect ads. Where required, Reelio requests consent and provides available privacy choices. We do not use persistent device identifiers in a way prohibited by Google Play policy.

6. Security

We use HTTPS encryption in transit, access controls, authentication, and reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information. No internet service can guarantee absolute security, so you should use a strong password and protect access to your device.

7. Retention and deletion

We retain account information while your account is active and keep user content until you delete it or delete your account. Stories are intended to stop being publicly available after 24 hours. Security, diagnostic, and transaction records may be kept for a limited period where needed for fraud prevention, dispute resolution, legal compliance, or service integrity. Backup copies are removed through our normal backup cycle.

You can request permanent account deletion from Settings > Delete Account in the Reelio app. You can also begin an account-deletion request at https://reels.codebro.co.in/delete-account. Deleting an account removes or anonymizes associated personal data and user content, except information we must retain for legitimate legal, security, fraud-prevention, or financial-record obligations.

8. Your choices and rights

You may access or update profile information in the app, control profile visibility and permissions through Reelio and your device settings, delete content, opt out of non-essential notifications, and request account deletion. Depending on your location, you may also have rights to access, correct, export, restrict, object to processing of, or delete personal information.

9. Children's privacy

Reelio is not directed to children under 13, or the higher minimum age required by local law. If we learn that a child provided personal information without valid authorization, we will take steps to delete it.

10. International processing

Your information may be processed in countries other than your own. We use appropriate safeguards where required by applicable data-protection law.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy when Reelio, our data practices, or legal requirements change. We will post the revised policy here, update the effective date, and provide additional notice in the app when a change is material.
